White Rose Holiday Cottage We warmly welcome walkers, cyclists, horse riders and holiday makers
The
end cottage, White Rose is a little gem. It is the oldest property and
was originally a small cottage built into the hillside in the 1600’s.
It was then turned into a vaulted cellar serving the farmhouse, with
separate coal storage below and hay barn above.
We then restored
it back into a lovely little cottage with all mod cons! White Rose has
its own private side yard for parking or sitting out, a small front
yard and lovely split-level back garden with a patio and furniture for
you to relax and enjoy the views.
The
kitchen is accessed from the private side yard and is open plan leading
through to the cosy lounge. With exposed original roof beams and Velux
roof lights the rooms have a light and airy feel.
The bright
kitchen is fully fitted with all modern units and appliances.
Microwave, washer/dryer, toaster, kettle, and all the pots, pans and
crockery that you will need. As we live in the end converted barn we
can also help out if there is anything extra that you may need.
White
Rose is warmed by underfloor heating and so any wet walking boots are
usually dry by morning, ready for another day on the moors! With solid
beech worktops, oak flooring, and a beautiful solid wood staircase,
this is a delightful property.
The
two double bedrooms are on the ground floor. The back bedroom overlooks
the garden and the front bedroom has a glazed door leading out to the
front yard. Small but perfectly formed the bedrooms are beautifully
furnished and decorated with co-ordinating wardrobes, chests of drawers
and comfy beds.
Bed linen is of course provided. There is an
upstairs w.c. and downstairs shower and w.c. The downstairs bathroom is
smartly tiled and the bedrooms and hall are carpeted.
