Red Rose Cottage is the original farmhouse and has larger living accommodation than White Rose Cottage.
Red Rose Cottage
has a front yard and sheltered back garden with furniture from where
you can sit and enjoy the scenery. The kitchen is newly fitted and
complete with microwave, kettle, toaster, and all the pots and pans
that you will need. As we live in the converted barn next door if there
is anything extra that you need we will do our best to help you out!
Red Rose Cottage also has a utility room with extra cupboard space and
washer/dryer.
The
main bedroom in Red Rose Cottage is large with lots of built-in
wardrobe space. The second bedroom also has built in wardrobes and has
a zip and link bed so that you have the choice of either a large double
bed or two good size singles.
The bedrooms have been fitted
out, furnished and decorated to a high standard for your comfort and
enjoyment. Bed linen is of course provided. Red Rose Cottage has a
downstairs w.c. and an upstairs bath and w.c. The upstairs bathroom is
smartly tiled and the bedrooms, stairs and landing are carpeted. Please
note that as Red Rose Cottage has its original staircase the stairs are
steep!
One
of the outstanding features of Red Rose Cottage is its fabulous
original stone fireplace complete with oven and salt hole! The antique
wood burner is supplied with fuel for you to enjoy a cosy night in! The
large lounge also features a large antique pitch pine bookcase, leather
settees and oak gateleg dining table and chairs, T.V and DVD/CD player.
There is a glazed door leading out onto the sheltered stone paved patio and lawn.
All the downstairs floors are fully tiled and the house is warmed with central heating radiators.
